As we age the skin under our arms changes and begins to lose its elasticity. This may create the appearance of what some refer to as "bat wings'' loose sagging skin under the arms that droops. The appearance of bat wings may also be the result of significant weight loss.
A plastic surgeon will remove excess skin and fat from the armpit and elbow to create a smooth, toned, and more contoured look. This will improve the appearance of the under portion of the arm.
