Otoplasty

Otoplasty

The Surgeon performs otoplasty to reduce macrotia (large ears).  This surgery is performed to reduce the size, shape or position of the ears.  This surgery is also performed to correct stretched or torn earlobes. Post-op the surgeon will apply a compression garment around the ears the first week for support and to reduce swelling.

Clients usually choose this surgery when they have prominent ears that stick out from the head and may be pointed.  Clients can expect to see significant improvement in about 2-3 weeks.  Full recovery can take between 4-6 weeks. Follow your surgeon's guidelines for "Happy Healing!"
